FRENCH PROVINCIAL FURNITURE
Over the past 25 years Christophe Living has developed and sourced a wide range of products to achieve the complete French provincial look.
The furniture styles are designed in such a way that they can be combined to achieve a stylish, yet individual look. The range of finishes, fabrics and other options, all ensure that each piece is unique to you and customised for your home.
Over the years we have refined each element of our selection down to the smallest of detail. For our timber finishes, we still use shellac and hand-rubbed beeswax for that soft French antique finish. We use gesso and hand-brushed techniques for our painted finishes to evoke the typical French country look and feel. We can also match a finish to your special requirement.
The timbers we use are European beech, oak and cherry wood. All our furniture is polished and upholstered in Australia; most of the carved components are imported from Italy and the Mediterranean countries.
Jean-Christophe will personally ensure your selection works well for your requirements and for home.

FRENCH FURNITURE FOR EACH ROOM
For the French Bedroom we have Louis bed heads in walnut or painted finish, sleigh beds, French curved beds and matching bedside cabinets and consoles. These can be made with cane inserts or be upholstered in fabrics such as Toiles de Jouy. A small Bergere, Louis salon chair or Louis bed-end stool and carved chest of drawers can complete the setting.
For the Dining Room we offer a wide range of Louis, French provincial, farmhouse and refectory dining tables. We also pride ourselves in the largest selection of French style chairs, fully upholstered chairs, Louis chairs, French farmhouse ladder-back chairs and much more. Also available are dining room sideboards, display cabinets, side servers, consoles and more.
For the French Lounge we offer the classic French Daybed, Bergeres, Louis armchairs and sofas, Louis coffee tables with cabriole legs, side tables, French mirrors and a large selection of French Aubusson style rugs. Our selection of French chandeliers, wall lights and French framed prints will complete your setting.
For the Study or French Style Office, we offer Louis desks, bookcases and cabinets to make studying or working an elegant pleasure.

A FRENCH INTERIOR DESIGNED FOR YOU BY A FRENCHMAN
Jean-Christophe has over 25 years experience in creating interiors that exude a unique mix of French provincial casual elegance and warmth. Trained as a craftsman in the south of France, carving and polishing Louis and French style furniture, Jean-Christophe is happy to bring his passion for quality and style to your home.
He offers a total French interior design service from floors, window and wall dressing as well as colour and fabric selection. He will personally select and design furniture especially for you. To complete your setting Jean-Christophe will also select the chandeliers and wall lights for the right lighting to enhance each room.
"For many years I worked on restoring old stone farmhouses in the south of France, this gave me a real understanding of what gives the warm, casual elegance the provincial style is sought for", says Jean-Christophe
